That’s the date I put on a fax today. I guess I have written my birthday so many times in my life that once I wrote the 8 and the 23 the 80 just came out of my brain into my hand. Once I realized what I had done I had to call the recipient’s receptionist, explain the situation (as best as you can explain it’s your birthday so you put 1980 on a fax), and ask if she wouldn’t mind changing the date on the cover sheet for me. I mean, other people have done this before I am sure. Right?? Right??
So yes, today is the 25th anniversary of my birth. It has been a good day so far. I went for a 40 minute run this morning. Downhill, along the river, and back uphill. I managed to end up at home at almost exactly 40 minutes even though the “back” part of the out and back was uphill. This was my first run in a new age group and I can feel my butt getting kicked already!
Tonight I am having dinner with my sister at an old college haunt (she goes to the same school I went to) that I want to visit before I leave. We also celebrated summer b-days at the beach in the beginning of August. ¾ of the kids and both of the guests (the bf and the gf) have birthdays in July or August so we had a family celebration. My main gift is luggage. I have reached the age where I need such things!! Today is pretty low key. I am very happy to spend it with my sis and I am glad to 25.

Happy birthday!! I too have put the wrong year on things involving my birthday, I think that it is normal. Welcome to a new, and as you have noted, very competitive age group!
