Work Hard/Play Hard
Right now I have a lot of work-but it’s my last week in DC and I have people to see!! And I have running to do! (Unless I’m hurt, I have to say I haven’t missed a run in years.) Suffice to say there hasn’t been a lot of sleeping. That’s due to the full schedule, but also to not really having a place to sleep and a noisy roommate last night. All that said, this will be brief.
I ran for 38:25 this morning. I wasn’t being lazy to avoid the hills, I just decided with the extra biking and whatnot to give my knees a break so I drove my car down to the Potomac and just ran along the flat C&O. One of my middle miles on the way out was a 9:30 min/mile. I guess I was going slightly faster on the way back to negative split. I am calling it 4 miles. It was blindingly sunny out. Then I went home to watch the news and the report stated that people were having trouble driving in to work b/c of the sun. See, I am not crazy.
