On the up and up
I hope he doesn’t mind that I am linking his page…but, if you’ve ever wondered how long triathletes abstain from sex before competing (and even if the thought has never crossed your mind but now you can’t STOP wondering) this poll is for you. Internet users weigh in and you too can vote. The sample size is small-but the results are very interesting.
Today: core stuff, knee exercising, foam rolling, and ½ an hour on the stairmaster. I wasn’t going to workout, but, except for the core and knee stuff, I basically sat at my computer or slept in my bed all day long. I decided that was really unhealthy so I went to the gym at 7 PM. I think it should be a personal goal to leave the apt every day. I decided to stairmaster b/c the idea of biking just did not appeal to me and I don’t think the elliptical is good for my knee. I am considering tonight’s workout the start of my “training” for the Tower Climb in February. I did this last year with some friends and it was SO fun. Our team name was "Social Climbers." I’m not really going to train, or maybe I am. I don’t know. It seems silly to train for the stair event-but is it more silly than trying to run faster? Hard to say.

i would imagine that:
knee injury + racing 60 flights of stairs = not such a good idea
but what do I know....
