Crossing Things Off the List
Today I had a vacation day from work, and a large checklist of items I wanted to complete. Included on the checklist...
1) cross train/lift - did that this morning when we first got up. O did a little run while I rode the bike for 30 mintues and then we both lifted. Because we were just in the little fitness room at our apartment, I didn't have all the usual lifting machines/bars but I made do with the few items they do have. More body weight stuff than usual. Chester was feeling his good self (as of late).
2) buy house - also did that this morning. We went to our closing at 10 am and signed (what seemed like) our lives away. There was even one paper you have to sign that says you agree to go to "deliquent counseling" should you become deliquent on your loan. My question - is this before or after they take your house away? :)
3) run around in new home and scream loudly, just because you can - O and I drove straight to said house and promptly ran around like kids in a candy store whooping and hollering. Then, I had to go to the bathroom so I did, only to realize that new homes don't come installed with toilet paper. Hmm... Luckily O found some tissues in the car for me. :) We also unloaded two car-fuls of boxes we had packed...stuff like books and knick-knacks and my wedding dress. (yes I still have my wedding dress, and no, I have no idea why I still have it). We plan to pack a little each night and have O unload (he now works about 2 minutes from the house) each night after work. This will hopefully make things easier when we do the BIG move over labor day weekend.
4) take nap - when I was driving back to our apartment (O went into school for a little and I just drove back) I was sooooooooo sleepy so I promptly laid down on the couch for 1.5 hours and slept. Nice.
Now for things yet to be accomplished:
5) grocery shopping
6) more packing
7) clean apartment
8) go to bed
Not too bad! I hope everyone has a great start to their weekend!

I think you are the first blogger I have seen with a "to do" list that includes "buy house."
