Fabulous Fall Day

It's amazing what 7 1/2 hours of sleep and food can do for your morale...and running. With less than 12 hours between my hard effort last night and this morning's 53 minute recovery run, I expected to feel less than stellar. But the combination of a bowl of Strawberry Burst Cheerios, cool but sunny weather, and lots of rest helped put the spring back in my step. My hip extensors were still a tiny bit tight from lifting on Tuesday and the speed work, but I wasn't sore or fatigued whatsoever...just a little winded on the upgrades (not long or steep enough to be called hills). I wish every day were like this one. I probably even ran faster than I should have, but hey, everything was clicking.

I wanted to lift after work tonight, but my shoulders and back are slightly sore still from Tuesday. Besides, I need to clean house, since R's best friend is coming over and I don't want to spend all weekend cleaning. I can't believe we're still putting away wedding stuff. More importantly, we need to finalize the selection of the pictures for our wedding album. Our photographer took ~1700 pictures, so it's going to be a challenge to narrow it down to 60 or so.

Well, let me get back to work...
